WOW we had so much fun Sunday night! We hope you were able to join us! If not, tune in for our next 'big' event: Tents, Tables, and Treats, where we are hosting a Cupcake Walk Booth! :)

And remember, think about your wattage. How much of God's brightness is expelling your darkness?

Hope to see you Wednesday night in the office at 6 sharp for Bible study! (it's john 18 this week)

spontaneous!!

We've thrown together a last minute FOOTBALL PARTY at Emma's house!
(it was emma's idea! thanks emma! :))
Be at her house at 5:30pm, stay till around 8pm, and have yourself a good 'ole time! But wait!! Don't come alone! Bring a friend and a game snack for everyone to share (the snack, not the friend)! ;)
We hope you all can make it! Everyone should know how to get there since we were there about a month ago for the Baked potato bar; but, if you don't know how to get there, email us for directions! no prob.

just go to this events page on our FB page, and click yo'self attending!

and don't forget to be reading John 17 this week! It's a pretty cool chapter- here's something you might find cool:

I have brought you glory on earth by completing the work you gave me to do.
john 17:4

Jesus prayed those words to God. Don't you want to be able to say that to Jesus one day??? I do, because we all have been given specific work to do here on earth. Don't know what your work is??
Ask Him!
And if you're still unsure, just love people! It is the second greatest commandment, after all.... :)

have a happy monday everyone!

week, and next week

hello, youth! we're in charge of a booth for Tents, Tables, and Treats this Oct. 31! so, we need to brainstorm for ideas! a few ideas were thrown out last night, but we need more so we can make the right decision! so, leave a comment, or visit the FB page and write on the wall!

alsoooooo,
this week we are reading John 17 so get out your handy, dandy BIBLE! or go here if you just love staring at a computer screen. I dont doubt that God speaks through technology.
this wednesday, the 20th of October, is the One Meal One Day deal! Remember to skip a meal and pray for the hungry kids that don't get to eat everyday like we do.
Next Sunday we are goin to the hummel's house for a hay ride and caramel apples! don't miss this and invite friends!

THIS SUNDAY THERE WILL BE NO RECAP! there is one for the parents, however, at the merriam's house, i think. parents, you will be getting an email about that shortly.

and for those of you who were prepared with a mission statement last night, great job! remember to live it out at school, at home, in the grocery store, at the doctor's office, or WHEREVER you are today! for those of you who didn't have one yet, don't fret. just wait for the verse God want you to adopt as the way you'll live your life!

i think that's all! have a great thursday everyone! :)

yes sir we did! what a weekend, huh??
we hope everyone who came had a blast!
don't forget about what we talked about sunday mornin' though; remember your homework assignment! it's on the right hand side of the home page if you forgot.
  •  Come up with a mission statement for you life.
  • Then, find a scripture that helps define your mission statement.
  • Lastly, think up 3 ways that can help you live out your mission statement effectively!
But don't just decide this spur of the moment....really pray and think about it! This is your life we're talkin about!! :)

Speaking of blast....how about a blast from the past........weekend??? ;)

newsies

just some news for ya:

this wednesday we are meeting in the OFFICE! not the pour, not the youth room, but the OFFICE. Click here for the address.

  • Directions (CAUTION: they might stink):
  • turn left at the red light that is directly in front of the church. You will be going in the direction of Robinson Towers.
  • Go a little ways and Robinson Towers will eventually pop up on your left.
  •  the office is right across from Robinson Towers, makin the office be on your right.

The office is a little house with a driveway (or so I'm told). Mr. Durell's truck will be parked in the driveway, so you know it won't be that hard to miss.
Bring your Bibles and remember to read John 15 sometime before wednesday so you can be prepared for what we're goin to talk about.

And for the camping trip, here's some info like directions to the campground for future reference and our email address if you have questions.
