One Meal One Day

On October 20, 2010, W.A.Y. Student Ministries is participating in a youth, nation-wide, world-hunger awareness experience. This experience is called One Meal One Day(OMOD). Essentially, OMOD is an event put on by thousands of student ministries across the country who have decided to give up one meal on October 20, in order to (1) raise awareness for world hunger and  (2) help support Compassion International financially in feeding millions of children. It works like this: On October 20, 2010, youth will give up one meal (b-fast, lunch, or dinner) and give the money they would have spent on the meal to Compassion, who will use the money to feed very hungry children all-over the world. W.A.Y. Student Ministries is participating in this movement on October 20, and we hope that all of you will join us as well. This isn't a "gather together" kind of event. Actually, we will all be split up; some may be at school, some may be at work. We won't be "together" in this, but we will be working together for the glory of God. Wherever you are right now, please pray about joining W.A.Y. Student Ministries in this. All you have to do is skip a meal on Oct. 20 and send the money you would have spent on the meal to Compassion. If you do decide to join us specifically, we would love to know who you are! Leave a comment to let us know, and we can be praying for you on that day as well as our youth. After Oct. 20, email us or leave a comment about how your OMOD went. Give us your testimony!
Of course, we will have more info once we get closer to time, but for now, just be praying for all those who are going to be taking part in OMOD, and visit onemealoneday.com if you would like more information.
